Max's ideal job is bringing a company of actors together to create Shakespeare and Icarus' other work in a unique way: kinetic and through a “contemporary lens”. He is also thrilled about all sorts of tragedy; the darker and deeper the better. Taking the audience on an emotional journey that weaves together with the best dialogue Icarus can find.
Elise is an AUB Alumni & accomplished Producer for 14 years. Grass roots born and bred in Salford, she was most recently Take Part Producer at Wiltshire Creative (Salisbury Playhouse, International Arts Festival, and Arts Centre), Executive Producer/CEO of Stolen Thread Productions CIC and consulting trustee to The Way Theatre, Greater Manchester.
She was lead consultant on bringing the arts to Wigan for the ‘Streets Apart’ Festival from 2020-2023. She has also led Icarus Theatre through the beginning of the residency pilot programme and delving back into mid-scale theatre tours, with a specific aim to give people from a disadvantage start access into the arts.
Zoe has a passion for integrating new technology into theatre and enhancing the audience experience. Zoe comes from a varied background of Production, Stage, and Technical Management for traditional & immersive theatre.
Zoe started her exploration into professional theatre whilst at the University of Nottingham. Their student run theatre, Nottingham New Theatre, was where Zoe developed her passion for technical theatre. Since then, Zoe has gone on to work nationally and internationally as a Production Manager on plays, musicals, and immersive theatre.
Liliana studied BA Fine Art at Central SaintMartins in London. She has since worked in art institutions both in the UK and Australia, developing strong connections globally. Her art practice, though often sculptural, always has a basis in storytelling. Liliana knows how vital it is to tell stories that might not always be heard and the importance of incorporating new technologies to share them with more people. She recently joined the Icarus Theatre Collective to continue her passion and work with people who believe in the power of words.
Fran Olivares Medina, a dynamic Chilean theatre artist with an MFA (1st class honours) in Theatre Directing from East 15, also studied Psychological Gesture and Meyerhold's Biomechanics as well as Balinese Theatre.
Fran's played multiple roles including: director, assistant director, performer, teacher, translator, theatremaker, and is an active member of the Latin American theatre community.
Her work primarily explores female experiences and perceptions, tackling themes of gender, identity, and marginality.
Jonathan has joined Icarus from the charity world, where he's mostly worked for disability charities as a charitable trusts fundraiser. He's also a writer, producing articles for businesses and print media, alongside personal creative projects. You can sit on one of his poems, as it is painted on a bench in Southampton's city centre.
Daniel has over 50 producing credits across the UK, the West End, America and Internationally. He has been producer for Bill Kenwright Ltd, The Almeida Theatre (London) and is currently Executive Producer for Cambridge Arts Theatre. Daniel is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts. He has also served as a Magistrate, on the East of England Regional Assembly and on board of several large arts and cultural charities.
Nichole is a junior studying Media and Digital Communications at the University of Maryland in America, passionate about creative expression and aiming to expand interest surrounding the theatre industry. Nichole believes that appreciating the arts benefits not only the creators but everyone involved and has the power to heal human connection worldwide.
