Step into the world of ‘Anti-Theatre’, a term used by playwright Eugene Ionesco to describe theatre that rebelled against the traditional norms of it’s time. Learn how Ionesco, Becket, Pinter and their contemporaries shaped a new genre of performance that subverted logic, relished the unexpected and made the impossible possible. Workshops can be adapted to suit abilities of GCSE, A Level and Undergraduate students and are led by the cast of The Lesson.

Stansislavski Technique: Actions, Objective, and Finding Truth

Discover the techniques used by Stanislavski to pave the way for realism in contemporary theatre. This workshop, led by the cast of The Lesson, gives students an insight into a professional rehearsal room and challenges them to create truthful and believable theatre of the highest standard. Workshops can be adapted to suit abilities of GCSE, A Level and Undergraduate students.

£350 each, £500 for two

Each workshop lasts 90 minutes and caters to up to 30 students. We provide two professional facilitators, at least one of which will also be a working, professional actor.
